A quick note from this end of the world...

Hello there all!

We are down under, living in Sydney. We have been spending time with Jennifer's parents from England and our friends Monika and John from Winnipeg. Jennifer's parents fly off to the UK tonight, back to reality (and a few credit card bills). Jennifer, Monika, John and I are flying to northern Australia today for 4 days. We will be in a town called Cairns and our plans include some snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, a visit to the rain forest and a day trip to Port Douglas - home of the Ausie version of lifestyles of the rich and famous.

Things are great here, I have managed to still get some work done despite the difference in time zones and more importantly I am wearing shorts daily.

When we get back from Cairns I will try to drop another visit to our blog.

All the best from down under.

We are good to go!!!

We went to see our doctor today. We briefly heard the heartbeat.

We also got a clean bill of health and permission to travel to Australia!

We will be departing on Sunday so I am not sure when I will next update our blog, but I am sure we will have new and interesting stories to tell once we are out there and when we get back in 5 weeks.

All the best from here!

Jennifer and David.

We saw...

We went to the clinic today for a sonagram. I saw our baby for the first time today! He/she was kicking and moving around a fair bit.. 49 MM long, he/she is growing at a fast pace. We could make out the legs and arms, the head and body. We heard the heartbeat.

Does every expectant parent feel this way? It is amazing....
