mom baby and sealion too

mom baby and sealion too, originally uploaded by dgcroadie.

Our last weekend in Manhattan, we went to central park zoo. It was a wonderful walking around in the fall air, a little escape from the horns and the the exhaust in the city. Baby liked looking around, checking out all the action. She does not yet understand what animals are, but really enjoys looking at mom and dad while walking. Here is a picture of the girls at the sealion pen...

clean baby 4

clean baby 4, originally uploaded by dgcroadie.

Here is a picture of me after a nice bath in NYC. I am warm and bundled up, with unintentionally spiked hair. I love baths, but I do not like getting out of the bath unless there is a warm towel to wrap up in...

There is a number missing....

In my office building, we are located on the 18th floor. but are we really? You see, there is no 13th floor in our building. the elevator goes from 12 right to 14 without a button for the aforementioned number. Same thing in our apartment building, the number 13 is missing again.

So I really work on the 17th floor, but it was intentionally mislabled. More importantly, do the people on the 14th floor know (or care) that they really work on the 13th floor but are in denial?

With our apartment so close to Central Park, mom and baby take lots of walks there during the nice days. Sometimes in a snuggly, sometimes in the stroller. It is a great escape from the noise and smells of the big city... On the weekend, all three of us go for a stroll! Better to be near the park that near bloomingdales! LOL

Same chair new deck

Same chair new deck

This is young miss on the deck from our apartment. it is quite the downsizing to go from the country in Nova Scotia to an apartment in the big city. Nonetheless, we have a good sized living room, galley kitchen with dishwasher and a bedroom that holds both our bed and the crib. To top it off, we are only a stones throw from Central park and also decent shopping. There is a good indian restaurant across the street and a good cuban joint around the corner.

A good little spot to settle into for a bit.
